Stephen Dilly, M.D., Ph.D
President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr Stephen Dilly joined PhotoThera as CEO in January 2012. Before PhotoThera, Stephen served as CEO of APT Pharmaceuticals from 2006 through 2011. Previously, Stephen was the Senior Vice President of Development and Chief Medical Officer for Chiron BioPharma from 2003 to 2006 and Vice President of Medical Affairs and Development Sciences for Genentech from 1998 to 2003 and Vice President of Clinical Neuroscience for SmithKline Beecham from 1996 to 1998. During his 25 years in the life sciences industry Stephen has been closely associated with the successful development and launch of a wide array of important drugs and biologics, including: Requip, TNKas, TNKase, Xolair, Avastin, Raptiva, Tarceva, Lucentis, Rituxan, Cubicin, Paxil CR and Kytril. In addition, he has been responsible for development programs in many CNS indications including Parkinson’s, Alzheimers, epilepsy, migraine, neuropathic pain, stroke, depression and psychosis.

Stephen earned his M.D. from the University of London in 1982 and his PhD from University of London in 1988.

Steven P. Richieri
Senior Vice-President of Operations

Mr. Richieri has overall responsibility for Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at PhotoThera. Previously, Mr. Richieri served as SVP/Head of Operations for Egea Biosciences from 2002 to 2005 and was a key member of the executive team responsible for the sale of Egea to the Johnson and Johnson Corporation in May, 2004. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Richieri was a co-founder and served as President and CEO of NuVista Technology Corporation, a privately-held medical device company. During that time, he also co-founded ALSP, a privately held drug discovery company.

Prior to NuVista and ALSP, Mr. Richieri served as Chief Operating Officer for The Immune Response Corporation, a publicly-traded biotechnology company, where he was responsible for all corporate operations and product development activities between 1991 and 1999. From 1983 to 1991, Mr. Richieri was VP of Regulatory and Technical Affairs at Dura Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Richieri received a B.S. in Pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy and a M.B.A. from the University of San Diego.

Ruchir Sehra, M.D.
Acting Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Sehra most recently served as Vice President, Clinical Research, Professional Education and Medical Affairs for the Kyphon Products, Spinal & Biologics Business of Medtronic, Inc. through October 2008. Prior to joining Kyphon, Dr. Sehra served as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Stereotaxis, Inc., a global provider of advanced remote and robotic cardiac catheterization solutions, from 2005 through 2007. Dr. Sehra has also been Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Medical Director for CryoCor, Inc. a privately held cardiac medical device manufacturer.

During his academic career, Dr. Sehra was a full time Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Loma Linda University as a Cardiac Electrophysiologist and member of the Loma Linda Pediatric Heart Transplantation Team. Dr. Sehra holds a B.A. in Biology from Wabash College and an M.B.A. degree from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Sehra received his M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Sehra is currently a staff physician at the San Diego Veterans Affair Hospital. He is a member of the American Heart Association, a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society, and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego.

Clark E. Tedford, Ph.D.
Vice-President and Chief Science Officer

Clark E. Tedford, Ph.D joined PhotoThera in 2011 as Vice President, Chief Science Officer. Prior to PhotoThera, Dr. Tedford was Vice President, Research at Omeros Corporation. During Dr. Tedford’s over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, he has held several scientific and executive management positions. Before joining Omeros, Dr. Tedford was President of Solentix BioSciences, Inc. Dr. Tedford was previously Executive Vice President of Research and Development for Gliatech, a pharmaceutical and medical device company. Prior to that, Dr. Tedford was at Schering-Plough Research Institute as a Principal Scientist. Dr. Tedford received his Ph.D. in pharmacology from the University of Iowa and completed his post-doctoral work in the Department of Pharmacology at the Loyola University Medical School.

Robert Anthony
Vice-President of Engineering & Manufacturing

Mr. Anthony joined PhotoThera in January of 2008 as the Vice-President of Manufacturing. His most recent experience is from Abbot Vascular/Guidant Corporation, where he was Director of Operations for the Endovascular Solutions (ES) Business Unit. Mr. Anthony established the entire supply chain infrastructure for the ES Business Unit and was part of the management team responsible for the successful launch of the first carotid stent and embolic protection system approved in the U.S. Mr. Anthony was also part of the management at Origin Medsystems prior to its acquisition by Eli Lilly & Company and Eli Lilly's formation of Guidant. Mr. Anthony brings to PhotoThera over 20 years of in-depth manufacturing operations experience. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Mary's College of California and a MBA from Santa Clara University.
